Backup Types
NexaWP Manager offers three backup types to fit your needs.
Full backup
Backs up the entire site: WordPress files (plugins, themes, uploads, configuration) and database.
Database only
Backs up only the WordPress database. Ideal for a quick backup before content changes.
Files only
Backs up all WordPress files (plugins, themes, uploads, wp-config.php) without the database.
Manual Backup
Create an on-demand backup in just a few clicks.
Go to the Backups tab in the site details.
Click the 'Create backup' button.
Choose the backup type (full, database, or files).
Add a name and description (optional) and select the storage destination.
Start the backup. Track progress in real time.
Real-time tracking
The progress bar updates automatically every 2-3 seconds.
Scheduled Backups
Configure automatic backups to protect your sites without manual intervention.
Frequency
Choose the frequency: daily, weekly, biweekly, or monthly.
Backup type
Select the automatic backup type: full, database, or files.
Retention
Set the number of backups to keep (1 to 30). Older ones are automatically deleted.
Cloud upload
Enable automatic upload to Google Drive or Dropbox after each backup.
Available frequencies
Manual and locked backups are never automatically deleted.
Cloud Storage
Store your backups in the cloud for maximum protection.
FTP only
Storage on the WordPress site's local FTP server.
Google Drive
Backup sent to your Google Drive account.
Dropbox
Backup sent to your Dropbox account.
FTP + Google Drive
Dual backup: local FTP storage and copy on Google Drive.
FTP + Dropbox
Dual backup: local FTP storage and copy on Dropbox.
Automatic upload
When the cloud option is enabled, the backup is automatically uploaded to the selected service once completed. A dedicated folder for the site is created automatically.
Restore
Restore a site from a backup in just a few clicks.
Select the backup to restore from the list.
Click 'Restore' from the actions menu.
The system verifies file availability (local or cloud).
Confirm the restore after reading the warnings.
Warning
Restoring replaces all current site content (database and files). Make sure you have a recent backup before proceeding. If the local file is no longer available, the system will automatically use the cloud copy.
Backup Management
Manage your backups with download, lock, and delete tools.
Download
Download a backup via a signed URL valid for 1 hour.
Lock
Lock an important backup to prevent automatic deletion.
Delete
Delete a backup from the local server and cloud (if applicable).
Cancel
Cancel an in-progress or pending backup.
